I put my ideas on paper and my dear friend Fernando Requejo, a master in fabrication and body work did the nose of the Datsun in metal, from the headlights forward. We used the original hood and turned it into an engine cover. Then we did the openings on the sides and added period details such as the belts and the bug screen. Fernando moved from Argentina, where he learned his trade, in the eighties and was a member of a famous racing family. In the US he worked on real Ferraris and Maseratis etc. Unfortunately, he died of cancer. He was 58 years old and we still miss him. He was a wonderful man. In the photo, when he finished the nose job in his shop in Garden Grove.
